Oroville
Home of the Feather River
Oroville is located in the beautiful Sierra Nevada Foothills in Butte Co. within the Northern Sacramento Valley.
Oroville is the The gateway to Lake Oroville and Feather River recreational areas. Oroville has the second largest lake in California, Lake Oroville. Lake Oroville was created when they built Oroville Dam, which by the way is the tallest earthen dam in the United States. The California Department of Parks and Recreation reported over one million visitors. You can skiing, go sailing, swimming, fishing, camping and picnicking at Lake Oroville and the Feather River rec. area.
Oroville's population is approximately 14,500, and is the third largest municipality in Butte County, followed by Chico and Paradise.
